Stats Panel
Hey all,
Little sneak peek at what's coming!
Laying the groundwork for tracking in-game stats, and reviewing your play at a high level. This includes saving your games, and tracking scores in between sessions. For as long you play DiscGolfVR, you'll be able to see your best scores on each hole :)
This is part of a major update that will increase longevity for play in both stat-tracked single-player modes and the multiplayer overhaul coming soon. A major initiative for concrete features like this are being pushed for a quality, paid-for DiscGolfVR experience. While it's been great creating this from the ether and building for a largely supportive audience, it is time for things to become official and more pinned down. More news will be coming on this in the future weeks.
Stay tuned!
Best,
Alex

Impressive! Of course my stats will not be impressive, but it will be great to see them anyhow and it is easy to see how this will help keep players coming back to the game to work on their stats, and inviting others to compete (stat sharing would be great, and maybe even auto-posting to Facebook).
Haha none of our stats will be impressive, it's technically possible, but not practically :P
For sure, it's part and parcel of creating a longer form experience that is additive to the multiplayer update. Sad news: I actually broke my first headset like a day before I uploaded the back 9, the strap snapped right off. Luckily, I have the other one I ordered, and Oculus is doing a full replacement, but that means I'll have to be waiting until that comes through until I can test with both. Until then, I'll be laying the groundwork like this and getting in multiplayer aspects where I can! :)
That sucks that you broke your headset! Glad Oculus is replacing it and that you've got enough on your plate that it won't really slow down your development while you work on the guts of it.
